Flying

Since I was a child I have always loved flying, every year my parents would take me abroad and I would look forward to the take-offs and landings. Even into my teens I joined the local air cadets and was hooked.

Living most of my life about 2 miles from RAF Finningley I had fond childhood memories of the roar of the Vulcan on airshow day, queues of traffic and walking miles to spend the day walking miles more round every aircraft I could find.

As the years went by I watched Jet Provost, Chipmunks, Chinooks and all manner of aircraft fly over head daily and vowed to fly one day.

Later on I am fortunate to have some successful businesses and a great business partner who also thought it was a great idea to start flying whilst he goes sailing, so I guess this is where the blog all started. I had looked around for a while on a breakdown of PPL but couldn't find a good one anywhere so decided whilst I am documenting some other things for friends (fasting) that I would write up my experiences flying.

Enjoy!
