Tech

Technology, or mainly software I would guess these posts are going to be.

My background is as a PHP developer, over the years I have got more and more into the dev lifestyle and after closing down the IT support company I had I switched from the darkside (Microsoft) to live a more fulfilling user experience as a Linux geek running a few different distros until settling with two main ones depending on machine.

Crunchbang for my main machine running awesomewm as the window manager (lives by its name) and also Arch for lightweight hardware including a funky raspberrypi.

So, I don't have anything microsoft, yayyyyyyy, and have none of the related headaches so please don't do what most do and ask my advice on how to fix something in windows. My advice, format it and start again with a real OS haha. Seriously though I completely get the change a normal user would have to go through and considering the vast range of user types I can see why there are plenty of unfortunate people that still use Microsoft, each to their own.
